This large historic colonial home was originally designed and built in 1805 as a boy’s school headed by Rev. John Sherman.  Rev. John Sherman was a Unitarian minister in Barneveld.  Each owner after Rev. John Sherman added wonderful additions, making this home what it is today.  The land surrounding this lovely home is filled with forest greens, vibrant flowers, rolling lawn and a large trout pond.

How about breakfast on the front porchIn the guest rooms, you will always find hand pressed sheets, comfy bathrobes, and Caswell-Massey products, making your stay at Sugarbush a cozy and comfortable one.  Wonderful antiques and charming decor can be found throughout the home as well. High-Speed Internet Wireless Access is available in every room.

Our guests are welcome to enjoy the front covered porch, our shaded slate patio and quiet sitting areas throughout our acres of rolling lawns.  Children are welcome!  We are open year round.
